It’s one of my favorite times of the year. It’s where I review the best and brightest that television had to offer in the previous year. If you haven’t already, you should check out my Top Films of 2016. Go ahead, check it out, I’ll wait. No really, I’ll wait. You back? Awesome.
As is the standard with my movie year-in-review, my television selections have to pass the Upkins Media Litmus Test.
Without further adieu…

I can and do concur that here are good shows. Except for a couple of shows I’ve never watched, they all have good reputations/reviews and I respect the hell out of a lot of these.
Good choices!
I’d never heard of Yemoja: Rise of the Orisha, so thank you for bringing it to your readers’ attention. I’ll be checking this out.
I think Daredevil is what Arrow was in the very beginning but strayed too far specially by Oliver and Felicity not a big fan of that although in the case of Daredevil I do think Matt needs his friends more than he cares to admit perhaps the Defenders might make him more of a team player. And of course I am a big MattClaire shipper! They have much chemistry.
1000% on Luke Cage, it is so good that it broke Netflix, there servers couldn´t handle the excitement.
Flash is still captivating for me, I think the whole alternate universe angle really spiced it up.
And finally Vikings I´ve been watching it recently. What a complex society those Ancient Scandinavians were. What a contrast I mean they are peaceful and advanced today but were extremely violent in the past even by today´s standards kinda like the real life Vulcans. They also set foot in North America 500 years before Columbus did they don´t teach that in schools nowadays.
Would love to recommend Carmilla as a webseries. Its about a lesbian vampire. Also All for One, which is a retelling of The Three Musketeers with women and sororities and a protagonist that is bisexual and says they are bisexual. Both on KindaTV on YouTube.
