‘Warrior’ Season 2 is Coming to Cinemax in October

The drama series Warrior returns for its ten-episode second season this October, exclusively on Cinemax. Check out the official tease below!

Based on the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Warrior was created by and is executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (Cinemax’s Banshee) under Tropper Ink Productions, executive produced by Justin Lin (director of Star Trek Beyond and Fast & Furious 9) for Perfect Storm Entertainment, and executive produced by Shannon Lee for Bruce Lee Entertainment.

Warrior is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances. After proving his worth as a fighter, Ah Sahm becomes a hatchet man for the Hop Wei, one of Chinatown’s most powerful organized crime families.

Season two follows rival Chinatown Tongs as they fight for dominance amidst the growing anti-Chinese fervor that threatens to destroy them all.

Originally, you were supposed to get a double dose of Andrew Koji in October since he’ll be playing Storm Shadow in the much anticipated Snake Eyes movie. However, the G.I. Joe spinoff has been pushed to 2021, so Cinemax is going to be the only place to see Koji kicking ass on screen this fall.

Warrior season 2 will premiere exclusively on Cinemax and be available on demand and on MaxGo.com this October.

(Also, check out my recent conversation with one of the show’s newest additions, Chen Tang, on the most recent Southern Fried Asian).
