HBO Max Just Dropped the Official Trailer for ‘Gossip Girl’

The wait is finally over– the trailer for Gossip Girl has arrived! Developed by showrunner Joshua Safran, a writer and executive producer on the original series, this extension of the iconic show establishes a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance. The cast includes Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith.

Nine years ago, the original Gossip Girl website shut down. But after a new generation of New York’s young elite takes control of private school Constance Billard, the notorious blogger remerges as the number one source into their scandalous lives. Gossip Girl explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.

When sharing the trailer on Twitter, the official account for the series wrote, “Your patience shall be rewarded my dear followers, and this is quite the prize. Don’t say I’ve never done anything for you. XOXO.”

It feels good to be back in the Upper East Side after all this time. Gossip Girl premieres on July 8, XOXO.
