August 11 is almost here and to celebrate we have a brand new Riverdale promo filled with A LOT of crazy and noteworthy moments. The series stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Mӓdchen Amick, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan, Erinn Westbrook, and Drew Ray Tanner. Riverdale is currently on its fifth season (already renewed for a sixth) and had its mid-season finale on March 31.

So let’s break it down:
Jughead has vanished, which will no doubt lead to Tabitha and Betty teaming up to find him.
Veronica is trying to bring Reggie back to the good side, which I’m honestly all for. Relationships aside, they had a really good friendship and I just enjoy them on my screen together. Plus, someone needs to get Reggie away from Hiram immediately.
Archie and Hiram are still at odds — I won’t comment on that. I’ve had more than enough.
Betty is still trying to figure out who hurt Polly, using her FBI training to do so. Alice is in full support of doing whatever it takes, even murder. Still honestly wondering if Polly is actually dead.
Cheryl and her mother are starting a ministry…. that’s new?
JOSIE, VALERIE, AND MELODY ARE BACK!!!! Tabitha is INTERACTING WITH THEM!!! I am SO here for this. Can we just skip to this episode immediately?
Some flashes of young Hiram, so we’re definitely getting another flashback episode, which could be fun but I have my doubts with it being supposedly Hiram centric.
Sweet Pea and Josie reconnecting?
Veronica and Archie reuniting, possibly after she returns from New York? Or after some sort of life or death experience like the rumored hostage situation? Definitely seems to have some sense of urgency or dramatics.
SO MANY DANCE SCENES! THE PUSSYCASTS, TABITHA, VERONICA, BETTY — let’s go!!!!!! These are the friendships I’ve been craving.
Some sort of alien creature? No idea where we’re heading with this.
Cheryl and Minerva — most likely before Toni is back in the picture.
TONI AS A MOM — okay, I am not going to stop talking about this moment. The little flash of Toni holding her baby with Fangs behind her is the MOST adorable thing. I am so so ready for this little family, give them all the screentime.
And just like that, Riverdale has managed to suck everyone right back in (myself included) despite the long hiatus. Cancel all of your Wednesday night plans!
