As part of Lifetime’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime,” Emily Kinney, Patrick Cassidy, and Rita Moreno are bringing audiences the magic of Christmas in Santa Bootcamp, which marks Melissa Joan Hart’s fourth Lifetime movie as a director. The holiday film premieres Saturday, November 19 at 8/7c, but before that, The Nerds of Color has an exclusive clip to share!
When event planner Emily Strauss (Emily Kinney) is hired by mall magnate Ed Mancini (Patrick Cassidy) to stage the ultimate Christmas Gala for his most important investors, Emily finds herself being sent to bootcamp – Santa Bootcamp – to find the perfect Santa and the inspiration she will need to make the evening a success. While there, Emily meets Belle (Rita Moreno), the bootcamp’s drill sergeant with a heart of gold, who helps Emily rediscover the magic of Christmas and find romance along the way. Additional stars include Tony® award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur, Justin Gaston, John Schuck, and deaf actors Deanne Bray and Zyra Singleton.
In this scene, Emily (Kinney) is seeking romantic advice from Belle (Moreno), who has a loving and long-lasting marriage with her husband. Belle lets her know to follow her heart during this holiday season.
