Teen Wolf premiered back in 2011 and ran for six seasons, ending in 2017. Tyler Posey starred in the series since the pilot as Scott McCall and fans fell in love with Crystal Reed’s Allison Argent, who we heartbreaking lost in season 3. However, they both reprise their roles in Teen Wolf: The Movie, which is now streaming on Paramount+.
In TEEN WOLF: THE MOVIE, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.
“I’ve always loved Scott and Allison so much and I love Teen Wolf ,” Posey expressed to me. “The heart of Teen Wolf is Scott and Allison and always has been, and so the fact that we could wrap that up with them is just — it just makes everything so much better. Then when you’re watching the movie, you have that quick little montage history of Scott and Allison and it’s like, to watch that then to seeing them, who they are now, it really helps drive that point home of they’re perfect for each other. It was so emotional and the history there is just perfect.”
“People have shared with me that Allison’s story has literally saved their life. They were suicidal and they were having these thoughts, and her strength sort of brought them back,” Reed shared when I asked her about the passionate fanbase. “I’m so humbled by that because it really is the reason why I am an artist. I feel like art can really save the world and tell stories that we need to hear. So to know that we’re doing that and that our characters inspire people to live… truthfully, I could go, I could quit acting for the rest of my life and I will have done my job and that feels really good to know.”
