NOC Interview: ‘Halo’ Star Bokeem Woodbine on Being Soren-066

Halo the series set a record as Paramount+’s most-watched series premiere globally in its first 24 hours. And before the first season even debuted, it was greenlit for a second season. I think it’s safe to say it’s a big hit! One of the series’ biggest strengths is the charming and sincere performance from scene stealer and Emmy-nominee Bokeem Woodbine. New Teaser for the ‘Halo’ Live Action Series Debuts

It’s been stuck in development hell for years, but we are finally getting a live action Halo adaptation! While this was a project that has been trying to get off the ground, and passing through the high profile eyes of directors like Peter Jackson, Guillermo Del Toro, Alex Garland, and Neill Blomkamp, it is finally seeing the light of day in 2022 thanks to executive producer Steven Spielberg.

Jason Parks, CEO at ROTU Entertainment, wants his new game Rhythm of the Universe: Ionia to resonate on a level that most VR experiences have not. The game, coming September 23 to PS4, PS5, and PC, is an adventure series about preserving the environment that incorporates music from ROTU Entertainment. Parks is a musician first and a multitalented game designer second, but his passion for this project to reach a new audience is palpable.

20 Iconic Bethesda Games are Coming To Xbox Game Pass

Earlier this week, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, officially announced their acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Speculations of the move had been mounting for months leading up to the multibillion dollar acquisition of one of gaming’s most robust publishers. In a sweetening of the pot today, Xbox announced the 20 blockbuster titles joining their Game Pass library by the week’s end.

I remember back in 2006 when our most pressing concern as gamers was the introduction of the now-infamous Horse Armor Pack for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a seemingly innocuous $2 cosmetic bundle for your mount that is known to many as the genesis of microtransactions. From in-game currencies and season passes, to multiple editions of games and their exorbitant expansion packs, the culture of “games as a live service” has dominated the last decade of gaming news.
