Warner Bros. has released the trailer for the anticipated musical film In the Heights, and it does not disappoint.
Directed by Jon M. Chu, In the Heights brings back Lin-Manuel Miranda’s score and a screenplay by Quiara Alegría Hudes, the musical’s original book writer. Fans of the beloved Tony Award-winning Broadway musical will recognize the music, scenes, and set dressing in the new trailer. It’s also fantastic to see some of the original cast members make an appearance in the trailer — including Miranda himself as the Piragua Guy and Christopher Jackson, who originated the role of Benny on Broadway. We should be expecting more Easter eggs in the film for fans of the stage musical.
Check it out below. What do you see that we may have missed?
