The Devil’s in the Marketing Details of ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’

The Conjuring 3, aka The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, has FINALLY released their trailer and poster for the anticipated third film, based on the case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Directed by Michael Chaves, the film centers around the Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren’s (Vera Farmiga) investigation on the real life trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson (Ruairi O’Connor), who murdered his landlord, claiming he was possessed by the devil to do it. As the Warrens investigate the case, they are confronted with their own demons as well with the unknown evil terror that surrounds them.

With the success of director James Wan’s first two Conjuring films, which grossed over $600 million combined at the worldwide box office, it’s no wonder they added a third film. The success of The Conjuring films launched an entire universe, including the Annabelle movies, The Nun, and The Curse of La Llorona.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It opens in theaters and on HBO Max on June 4.

True horror returns. Based on the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder, and unknown evil that shocked even these experienced real-life paranormal investigators.

One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them far beyond anything they’ve ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense. Starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard, and directed by Michael Chaves.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, coming June 4 to theaters and on HBO Max. Available to stream on HBO Max in the US only, for 31 days from its theatrical release, at no extra cost to subscribers.
