The actress fights to better girls’ education and the environment. She is currently a global ambassador for Glamour’s The Girl Project, which strives to break down the barriers to secondary school education that girls face.
In 2019, Bush partnered with Jane Walker and has been active in bringing forward firsts for women within the entrepreneurial world. She also co-founded and sits on the board for I am a voter, a nonpartisan movement that aims to create a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement by unifying around a central truth: “Our democracy works best when we all participate.” That same year, she also launched her podcast Work in Progress, which features frank, funny, personal, professional, and sometimes political conversations with people who inspire her.
Bush can next be seen starring in CBS’ new drama Good Sam, where she plays a gifted heart surgeon. She also recently started a new One Tree Hill rewatch podcast with her former co-stars, called Drama Queens.
