Gregg Sulkin, Cinthya Carmona, and Michael Hsu Rosen star in Netflix’s new comedy, Pretty Smart. The season will be a total of ten episodes and begin streaming on October 8. Sulkin plays Grant, Carmona portrays Solana, and Rosen takes on the role of Jayden.
After getting unexpectedly dumped by her boyfriend, Chelsea (Emily Osment) — a high-brow, Harvard-educated intellectual and aspiring novelist — is forced to move in with her bubbly, carefree, not-so-intellectual West Coast sister, Claire (Olivia Macklin), and her three lovably eccentric, not-so-intellectual roommates: Grant (Gregg Sulkin), a distractingly handsome personal trainer, Solana (Cinthya Carmona), a former lawyer turned healer, and Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen), a social media influencer. But Chelsea’s tough, sometimes judgemental exterior starts to soften as she gets to know her new friends, and they begin to form an unlikely found family.
Sulkin is best known for his roles on Wizards of Waverly Place, Runaways, Pretty Little Liars, and Faking It. He can recently be seen in This Is the Year. The actor’s other notable credits include Don’t Hang Up, Anti-Social, and Status Update.
Carmona is known for her work in The Tax Collector, Greenhouse Academy, and East Los High. The actress’ other credits include Deputy, Skin in the Game, Painter, and Reefa.
Rosen is known for his role on Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things. The actor can also recently be seen in Monsterland. Other notable credits include Jessica Jones, Nora Highland, and Looking.
I had the pleasure of chatting with the trio about their characters, which character (or actor) they would want as their real life roommate, the theme of friendship, what their tagline for the show would be, and more!
