Well, it finally happened! Long time friend of the NOC, Yoshi Sudarso, has been cast as Nightwing in an upcoming live-action adaptation of Webtoon’s popular Batman: Wayne Family Adventures webcomic.
IGN officially broke the news this morning: Ismahawk is producing a series of live action shorts based on the extremely popular webcomic of the same name. The rest of the live action cast includes:
- Jonathan Bentley as Bruce Wayne
- Yoshi Sudarso as Dick Grayson/Nightwing
- Lisa Foiles as Barbara Gordon/Oracle
- Tim Neff as Jason Todd/Red Hood
- Peter Sudarso as Tim Drake/Red Robin
- Meghan Camarena as Stephanie Brown/Spoiler
- Gemma Nguyen as Cassandra Cain/Orphan
- Carter Rockwood as Damian Wayne/Robin
- Du-Shaunt ‘Fik-Shun’ Stegall as Duke Thomas/Signal
- Marcus Weiss as Alfred Pennyworth
The fact that they also cast Yoshi’s brother Peter as Tim Drake proves the casting director is definitely on twitter.
Speaking of twitter, Yoshi has made no secret over the years of his desire to play Dick Grayson. Often making convention appearances in full Nightwing cosplay.
Other notable castings include So You Think You Can Dance alum Fik-Shun as Duke Thomas and Carter Rockwood, who is of Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern descent, as Damian Wayne.
The official release date and full trailer will be revealed on Ismahawk’s YouTube channel on Monday, October 11.
