NOC Interview: Josh Gad Talks Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘Olaf Presents’

Josh Gad is back as the voice of Olaf for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Olaf Presents. The series of new animated shorts starring everyone’s favorite talking snowman launches November 12, exclusively on Disney+. Gad has also brought the character to life in Frozen, Frozen Fever, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen II, At Home with Olaf, Once Upon a Snowman, and Lego Frozen Northern Lights.

Olaf steps into the spotlight and goes from snowman to showman as he takes on the roles of producer, actor, costumer and set builder for his unique “retelling” of five favorite Disney animated tales in Olaf Presents, a series of new animated shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The charismatic and versatile Olaf demonstrates his theatrical flair, taking on such iconic roles as a mermaid, a genie, a lion king (and most of the parts in between), as he entertains Arendelle with his delightful abbreviated versions of these beloved tales.

Gad’s film work includes The Rocker, Love & Other Drugs, Thanks for Sharing, Pixels, Beauty and the Beast, Murder on the Orient Express, Wish I Was Here, The Wedding Ringer, Marshall, Little Monsters, Artemis Fowl, She Wants Me, The Internship, and Jobs. On television, the actor can be seen in Back to You, Woke Up Dead, 1600 Penn, Gigi: Almost American, The Comedians, as well as Avenue 5.

He has also lent his voice to characters in Central Park, The Angry Birds Movie, The Angry Birds Movie 2, A Dog’s Purpose, A Dog’s Journey, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Good Vibes, and more.
