Season Two follows Jules (Kat Dennings) and her best friends– post pandemic, post heartbreak, heading toward turning thirty. Having successfully reunited with her friends (Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky), Jules must now balance keeping their group together as the women navigate work, love, and a deeper relationship with each of themselves.

Last year, Dennings reprised her role as Darcy in Marvel Studios’ WandaVision as well as What If…?. She also voiced Death again in Audible Original’s The Sandman: Act II, which is an audio drama based on the DC Comics. Upcoming, Dennings is set to star in, executive produce, and write her episode of Girls Can’t Shoot (& Other Lies), adapted from her essay in the collection Feminists Don’t Wear Pink (and Other Lies).

I had the pleasure of asking the actress about which of her past roles she’d want in her Dollface friend group, being part of a female-led series, and what she hopes the character of Jules gives to fans.
