The Cast of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Talk Their New Netflix Series

To celebrate the release of The Lincoln Lawyer, The Nerds of Color had the opportunity to interview Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson. The series comes from creator David E. Kelley and is based on The Brass Verdict, which is the second book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly.

The Lincoln Lawyer is the story of Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo can be recognized from The Magnificent Seven, Murder on the Orient Express, Goliath, Sweet Girl, 6 Underground, and more.

Becki Newton is known for Ugly Betty, Love Bites, How I Met Your Mother, The Goodwin Games, Weird Loners, and Tell Me a Story.

Jazz Raycole can be seen in The Soul Man, Everybody Hates Chris, My Wife and Kids, as well as Council of Dads.

Angus Sampson’s notable credits include Summer Coda, the Insidious films, Mad Max: Fury Road, Fargo, Nightflyers, and Our Flag Means Death.
