Netflix Geeked Week kicked off today with the teaser trailer of the anticipated Wednesday Addams series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega.

We get a glimpse of the only daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams with her signature pigtail braids and gloomy disposition. Ortega looks perfect as the morbid teenager as she goes through high school at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her psychic powers, stop a killing spree, solve a supernatural mystery that has plagued her family, and deal with growing up.

It’s also pretty fantastic that the series kept the character LatinX. Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones will play her parents, Gomez and Morticia, respectively. Isaac Ordonez will play Wednesday’s rival brother, Pugsley Addams. Christina Ricci, the original Wednesday in the 1990s films, has an undisclosed series regular role as well.

Directed by Tim Burton, the supernatural horror comedy will consist of six episodes and is set to premiere later this year. The series also stars Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Thora Birch, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Percy Hynes White, Gwendoline Christie, and Victor Dorobantu.
