Netflix Geeked Week released a teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s horror anthology, Cabinet of Curiosities. From the mind of the acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker and creator, del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror.
He has recruited a team of writers, directors, and talent — personally chosen by del Toro — to tell these stories. The series is also executive produced by Academy Award winner J. Miles Dale, who serves as co-showrunner; and Gary Ungar. Regina Corrado serves as co-executive producer.
The series has now added Eric André, Sofia Boutella, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Rupert Grint, Kate Micucci, and Charlyne Yi. The series already has the talents of Essie Davis, Andrew Lincoln, Hannah Galway, F. Murray Abraham, Glynn Turnman, Luke Roberts, Time Blake Nelson, Elpidia Carrillo, Demetrius Grosse, Sebastian Roché, Crispin Glover, Ben Barnes, Peter Weller, Mika Watkins, and David Hewlett; and episodes directed by Jennifer Kent, David Prior (written by David S. Goyer), Guillermo Navarro (an original story by del Toro, written by Regina Corrado), Keith Thomas (written by Lee Patterson), Panos Cosmatos (written by Cosmatos and Aaron Stewart-Ahn), Catherine Hardwicke, Vincenzo Natali (short story by Henry Kuttner), and Ana Lily Amirpour (written by Haley Z. Boston).
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is set to premiere later this year.
