‘The Mandalorian’ Director Rick Famuyiwa on Ambitious Season 3 and Easter Eggs

The Mandalorian finally makes its season three debut tomorrow after a year-long hiatus. The season promises to be its most ambitious as Din Darjin (Pedro Pascal) seeks redemption for breaking the Mandalorian code after he had to off his helmet twice in season 2.

In addition, we will also explore more of the Mandalorian culture, find out what the Empire is up to, and see how Din and Grogu’s relationship has developed.

The Nerds of Color had the chance to sit down and talk to writer, director, and now executive producer Rick Famuyiwa — the man behind Chapters Two, Six, and Fifteen. Slated to direct even more this season, Famuyiwa talked about juggling the multiple story arcs and whether or not we will see even more cameos.

The Mandalorian also stars Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode Season 3 include Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The first episode of The Mandalorian debuts on March 1, 2023.
