New Trailer and Poster for ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ are Must-Sea Spectacles

The ruler of the seven seas is back! It’s been five long years since we saw Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, go toe to toe with the likes of Ocean Master and Black Manta. But now, under the capable hands of director James Wan, the King of Atlantis is back and bigger than ever! We have a new trailer and poster for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom!

We were fortunate enough to attend an epic Q&A with director Wan, who was on-hand to debut the new trailer for us, and talk about the project. You can check out what he had to say in our separate article here.

But first, feast your eyes on the colorful, fantastical, nautical world Wan has brought back to the screen in the epic trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom here:

As you can see, Wan has doubled down on the Harryhausen-esque colors and designs of the first film, making a movie that embraces the colorful camp that made the first film the only installment in the DCEU to break a billion dollars. We get a lot more of Orm (Patrick Wilson) this time around, as he buddies up with Arthur/Aquaman to take on Black Manta. It’s going to be an undersea showdown you won’t want to miss.

Also revealed today is the first poster for the new sequel, which looks like a radical wipeout:

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is hitting theaters on December 20!
