The MonsterVerse is back! Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is almost here! The spin off of the epic Godzilla/Kong franchise is officially hitting Apple TV+ this Friday, November 17. And to celebrate, we have an exclusive first look clip for all of you to check out!
Unlike most of this franchise, Monarch puts the focus solely on the humans behind the scenes of the top-secret organization that monitors and polices titan activity within The MonsterVerse. As we saw in both Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong, they’ve often aided everyone’s favorite radioactive reptilian titan against the forces of evil. So to explore the organization’s origins is quite exciting.
This new clip, that we’re sharing with you all today, introduces one of the prominent founding members of Monarch — the brilliant scientist Dr. Muriya — as she meets another key Monarch founder, Lee Shaw. Check it out here:
As you can see it’s a really rough meet-cute moment. And you’ll instantly like Mari Yamamoto’s Keiko Muriya. But don’t worry, because despite a rough start Wyatt/Kurt Russell’s Lee Shaw grows on you too.
