ATARASHII GAKKO! is another step closer to conquering the world. Having just completed the first leg of their World Tour, the four new school leaders — Suzuka, Mizyu, Rin, and Kanon — have teamed up with Thai-rapper MILLI to debut a music video for the song, “Drama,” featured on their latest full length album, AG! Calling.
Though the group has been around since 2015, their performance of “Otonablue” on popular Japanese music channel First Take in early 2023 really set them on their current trajectory toward superstardom. In December, they made their U.S. television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was featured on NHK’s annual Kōhaku New Years special. This past April, they were one of the biggest draws at Coachella.
Recorded during their June 23 show in Bangkok, the video for “Drama” captures the group’s first onstage collab with the hometown rapper, and fellow 88rising label mate, as well as the frenetic energy typical of an AG! show.
While AG! officially wrapped Part One of their World Tour at the end of June in Singapore, the Forever Sisters are gearing up to return to North America this fall as the AG! Calling tour kicks back up in Vancouver on September 26.
Part II of the AG! Calling World Tour will have them returning to cities like San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Washington — though they’ll be playing larger venues than last year, a sign of their growing stardom. AG! will also be playing cities lik Atlanta, Austin, and Dallas for the first time!
For a taste of what you can expect at an AG! show, here’s a clip from their performance of “Seishun Wo Kirisaku Hado” in D.C. last fall during their first headlining tour in the U.S.
Ticket information for their North America shows can be found on their official website. The album, AG! Calling, is streaming on your favorite music streaming service of choice.
