We’ve been incredibly blessed to be able to speak with the stars of HBO’s newest comedy hit, The Franchise. In addition to covering the red carpet for the show, we also were able to bring you our interviews with stars Aya Cash, Himesh Patel, and Billy Magnussen last week. And today, for “Franchise Fridays,” we’re pleased to bring you our conversation with series scene stealers Lolly Adefope, Darren Goldstein, and Isaac Powell!
Though they may not have top billing on the series just yet, Adefope, Goldstein, and Powell deliver some of the show’s biggest laughs. As Dag, Adefope’s character represents the dry and hilarious third AD of Tecto: Eye of the Storm, and the voice of a go-getter looking to make it big in an industry trying to squash creativity. Goldstein plays the figurehead of said industry (aka Maximum Studios) named Pat, the “Feige”-esque studio rep, as it were. And Powell plays Bryson, the sycophantic assistant to the head of Maximum Studios.
Together, this trio has created some incredibly memorable standouts among an ensemble of stars that have been featured in some of the biggest projects of the past few years, and in doing so, have absolutely broken out as the absolute comedic tour-de-forces of an already hilarious troupe!
