Disney+ has unveiled the trailer to the upcoming series Ironheart, and audiences could be in for quite the adventure.
For a quick refresher, Riri (Dominique Thorne) was introduced in Ryan Coogler’s Wakanda Forever as a brilliant MIT student who found herself involved in a Wakandan conflict. Her tech skills proved to be invaluable, while her suit was inspired by the chemical-element fashion style of another beloved hero. Coogler has returned as executive producer.
The trailer opens with an intense elevator sequence that displays Riri’s resourcefulness, while also introducing a mysterious character played by Anthony Ramos. Fans of Marvel lore will recognize this dangerous dude as The Hood. Ramos looks like he’ll be having a great time in villain mode.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at supporting characters, provides some requisite MCU comedic quips, and offers a quick look at some action sequences. One particular scene showcases Riri (suited up as Ironheart) taking on a fast-moving truck and looks, to borrow Riri’s word, “iconic.”
It is great to see Thorne and Ramos leading the latest MCU project. With Coogler’s touch, this has the potential to be a great series.
