Discussing Death and Blood with the Directors and Cast of ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’

Death is a funny thing. Not so much “ha-ha” funny as it is “mysterious” funny. It’s also terrifying, gory, and nasty. And no series of films better encapsulates this sentiment better than the Final Destination franchise! Recently, we were given the great opportunity to witness the latest installment, Final Destination: Bloodlines, and speak with directors Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, and cast members Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, and Owen Patrick Joyner about the latest gruesome and gory chapter in this legendary saga.

In case you missed it, we recently spoke with stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, and Rya Kihlstedt about how cool it was that this chapter of the series centered on a mixed Filipino family! And in addition to touching on the topic with them, we were fortunate enough to also speak with Stein and Lipovsky about their decision to do this, but also nerd out with them about splatter horror and Death’s plans.

We were also most fortunate in speaking with stars Harmon, Lore, and Joyner. In the film, the trio play the cousins of the Reyes family (Santa Juana, Briones, and Kihlstedt’s characters). Harmon’s Eric is a fan-favorite hellraiser with a rebellious streak. Lore’s Julia is the family’s middle child, who used to be closer to Santa Juana’s character prior to the latter heading to college, thus leaving her cousin slightly bitter. And Joyner plays the sweet and innocent youngest member of the family, Bobby.

Together this cast and these directors have truly come together to capture the creepiness and kookiness of the Final Destination series. Take a look at what they all had to say right here:
