LA Comic Con returned this year with packed panels, A-List special guests, and some brand new activations. Fans of Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, Universal Studios and so much more were able to soak up all of the fandom fun.

2025 has proven to be another successful year of LA Comic Con. Featuring some of the biggest IP’s and fandoms and incorporating new brands, this event was easily one of the best years to attend. We had a chance to speak with the convention’s CEO, Chris DeMoulin of Comikaze Entertainment. He shared with us some of his biggest fandom influences growing up, what we can experience this year, and some insight into their plans for 2026.

Founded in 2011, LA Comic Con has grown from a convention featuring local artists and comic book publishers to a massive three-day event boasting A-List celebrities, trending exhibits, and hundreds of thousands of attendees. This year, stars including Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio from Daredevil, along with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany from WandaVision drew massive crowds at the convention’s main stage. Panels covered a wide variety of topics, including speakers from K-Pop Demon Hunters, Universal Studios Hollywood, One Piece, Accessibility in Film, Television and Fandom, and so much more.

Brand new this year was the activation zone Akiba Station. Inspired by the Akihabara district in Tokyo, Japan, this interactive area featured vendors from Kamen Rider, Otaku Collectives, Maruchan and more. A nod to fans of Japanese gaming and anime culture, this new zone immersed you in a stimulating and vibrant experience.

It’s no surprise that an event at this scale requires years of planning and preparation. Chris DeMoulin and his team are already underway in their early prep work for 2026. The great thing about Chris and his team is their dedication to incorporating fan requests wherever possible. Take a look at our full interview with Chris below to learn more about the nerd fandoms that shaped his childhood and what we can look forward to next year.
