‘Spider-Noir’ Actor Brendan Gleeson on Silvermane’s Humanity

Brendan Gleeson stars opposite Nicolas Cage in the highly-anticipated upcoming Spider-Noir series. We were able to speak with Gleeson ahead of its release and explore how he brought his character Silvermane to life.

Spider-Noir follows the story of struggling private investigator Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage (Adaptation, Pig), who takes on clients by day, but also works as vigilante “The Spider” by night. While this is not the first variant of Spider-Man to hit our screens in recent years, Spider-Noir gives us a unique storyline as it swings into the 1930s in a stylized new series coming to audiences via Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video.

Last week, not only did we have a chance to screen all of Season 1 in both “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” but we also had a the opportunity to chat with actor Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, Harry Potter), who portrays The Spider’s nemesis Silvermane.
