In anticipation of the Christmas release of Bumblebee, Paramount has dropped a new featurette focusing on the G1 designs of the Autobots and Decepticons used in the new movie.
Based on this, it feels like the filmmakers really want to echo back to the roots of the original cartoons and toy-line from the ’80s, to make a movie that feels closer to the source material than any previous entry, and showcases the enthusiasm and hardcore fandom of director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) and stars John Cena and Hailee Steinfeld.
