Wendi McLendon-Covey stars as Beverly Goldberg, aka the ultimate smother, in ABC’s hit comedy series The Goldbergs. The actress is no stranger to comedy and certainly never fails to leave audiences laughing episode after episode. The series is currently on season 8 with new episodes airing Wednesdays at 8 PM ET.
The Goldbergs takes fans back to the ‘80s and is the perfect family show, filled with comfort, laughs, and plenty of heart. You will fall in love with the Goldberg family, which consists of Beverly, Murray, Pops, Adam, Barry, and Erica. Throughout the series, we see Adam use his video camera to document his family and their lives. What makes this so unique is at the very end of each episode, viewers will see real footage of the actual Goldberg family, many events being what was just seen in the actual episode.
McLendon-Covey starred in the iconic female comedy film, Bridesmaids. She can recently be seen in Sylvie’s Love, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, and Blush. Coming up, she has Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., premiering May 21 on Hulu.
I had a wonderful time (filled with laughs) speaking with the actress all about the ABC series, what she loves about comedy, wrapping up season 8, what films she wants the show to pay tribute to next, staying positive, and her personal favorite episodes of The Goldbergs.
