Why ABC’s ‘The Goldbergs’ is a Show That the Whole Family Can Enjoy

Finding a show the entire family can enjoy is near impossible, but ABC has managed to do it! The Goldbergs airs new episodes Wednesdays at 8 PM ET and if you’re new to the show, you have an entire eight seasons you can binge; trust me, you won’t want to stop watching.

I saw this from personal experience. After discovering the series over quarantine, I instantly fell in love with it and the messages it gives audiences, especially families that watch it together.

From watching reruns with my moms at night to sharing it with my grandparents, the show slowly spread through my entire family, making them all fans.

It’s impossible to watch the show and not find yourself relating to at least one of the characters. Passionate middle child? See Barry Goldberg. A grandparent that loves their grandchildren unconditionally? Meet Pops. Have a desire for filmmaking and all things entertainment? Adam is the Goldberg for you. A mother that loves her children more than anything and struggles with boundaries? Beverly can relate. Have a deep love for music? Erica has a voice you’ll definitely wanna hear. And of course, we couldn’t forget Murray, who might act like he doesn’t care, but really has a big heart. While Geoff isn’t technically a Goldberg, he’s definitely part of the family, his lovable nature making it easy to consider him a fan favorite.

One of the best parts of the show is the real-life footage shown at the end of each episode courtesy of the real Goldberg family. The ‘80s time period adds a whole new layer to the fun. The series stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, Jeff Garlin, Sam Lerner, and the late George Segal.
