UPDATED 8/3/21:

Added new dates for Hawkeye and a delay to early 2022 for Ms. Marvel.

UPDATED 5/3/21:

We originally posted an article on December 10, following The Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day event, where Kevin Feige unveiled an entire slate of Marvel Studios projects for theaters and Disney+

Today we wanted to update that article with the official titles and release dates for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. (See this article for more on those updates)!

However, rather than leave the article as a dated relic of the best Christmas present we got last year, we’ve decided to turn it into your official NOC source for all things Marvel Studios.

WHAT IF — AUGUST 11, 2021

When I was a kid, there were these really interesting comics that would take scenarios from the Marvel Universe and give you elseworlds-esque stories that would explore what it would be like if they’d occurred differently. Well now the MCU is getting the What If treatment in an animated series on Disney+, coming August 11, 2021.

ETERNALS — NOVEMBER 5, 2021

Marvel Studios’ Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, the Deviants.

HAWKEYE — NOVEMBER 24, 2021

Original Avenger Jeremy Renner returns to star as Hawkeye, teaming up with well-known archer from Marvel comics, Kate Bishop played by the amazing Hailee Steinfeld.

Additional cast members include Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez with episodes directed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie.

Hawkeye, an original series, is coming to Disney+ in 2021.

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME –– December 17, 2021

Not much is known about the next installment in the Spider-Man “Home” saga, except, basically, everything. Alfred Molina is back as Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2! Jamie Foxx is back as Electro from that Andrew Garfield one (I know the title, I just don’t care to acknowledge it). And Benedict Cumberbatch is helping out Spidey as Doctor Strange! But naturally there’s a ton of rumors about Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone and others joining too. Perhaps this one should be called Multiverse of Mad– oh wait…

MS. MARVEL — early 2022

Ms. Marvel, a newer character to Marvel Comics, has grabbed the world’s imagination and Marvel was excited to officially announce Iman Vellani will be playing Kamala Khan.

Ms. Marvel, an original series from Marvel Studios, is coming late 2021 to Disney+.

DOCTOR STRANGE: IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS — MARCH 25, 2022

Feige announced that WandaVision would tie into Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, hitting theaters March 2022. He revealed Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and  Chiwetel Ejiofor would be returning, but joining them and Elizabeth Olsen would be newcomer Xochitl Gomez, who will be playing (I’m so excited for this) Miss America herself, America Chavez!

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER — MAY 6, 2022

The Dark Knight is coming to the MCU as Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale will join the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder as the villain Gorr the God Butcher. In theaters May 6, 2022.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER — JULY 8, 2022

Feige officially announced that in honor of the legacy set by Chadwick Boseman, that T’Challa would not be recast. He’s working with Ryan Coogler on the script now, and the film will be debuting July 2022.

THE MARVELS — NOVEMBER 11, 2022

Feige announced that Ms. Marvel star, Iman Vellani, and WandaVision star, Teyonah Parris, would be joining the cast of Captain Marvel 2, under director Nia DaCosta, showcasing the interconnectivity of the Disney+ series with the MCU film slate!

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA — February 17, 2023

Peyton Reed is back to direct the third Ant-Man film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer all return. Kathryn Newton joins the cast as Cassie Lang alongside Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 — May 5, 2023

Director James Gunn and the ensemble of the first two classic films returns for, what’s rumored to be, one final adventure! Details are scarce but the film will be officially hitting theaters May 5th, 2023!

Among the rest of the slate, Feige announced many other undated releases, including some that were never previously announced prior to the Disney Investors Presentation. Here’s a breakdown of those exciting titles, along with Marvel’s official statements:

SHE-HULK

She-Hulk arrives to the MCU! Tatiana Maslany will portray Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk and Tim Roth returns as the Abomination and Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo, will appear in the series directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao as head writer.

MOON KNIGHT

Moon Knight, an Original Series about a complex vigilante, is coming to Disney+. Feige was mum about the details, including casting, but mentioned that it would be diving into Egyptian mythology and Marc Spector’s dissociative identity disorder.

SECRET INVASION

Samuel L. Jackson is back as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn from Captain Marvel returns as the Skrull Talos in Marvel Studios’ Original Series Secret Invasion. This will be an MCU adaptation of a very recent, popular storyline! The Skrulls are among us!

IRONHEART

Dominique Thorne is genius inventor Riri Williams in Ironheart, an Original Series about the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. I’ve loved Riri ever since she came into the scene! Glad we’re going to see her soon!

ARMOR WARS

Don Cheadle returns as James Rhodes aka War Machine (aka Rhodey) in Armor Wars, an Original Series coming to Disney+. A classic Marvel story about Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: what happens when his tech falls into the wrong hands?

THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. James Gunn is back to write and direct.

The Original Special is coming to Disney+ in 2022.

I AM GROOT

Everyone’s favorite little tree, Baby Groot, will star in I Am Groot, a series of shorts on Disney+ featuring several new and unusual characters.

BLADE

Though we heard about it last year at Comic Con, Feige made a brief reminder that we can expect The Daywalker to return, played by two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, in the near future!

CAPTAIN AMERICA 4

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Malcolm Spellman has been tapped to write the next installment of the Captain America franchise, with Sam Wilson officially picking up the shield and mantle.

null

And finally, the biggest news of all — Feige officially announced…

THE FANTASTIC FOUR!

Zero details have been revealed but we know it’s finally in good hands, and that’s enough for me!

Phew! I’m both pumped up and exhausted at the same time! And I haven’t felt that since Comic-Con last year!

Get psyched folks!! And Make Mine Marvel! Excelsior!!!
