Sandra Oh is the Boss.

Netflix has released a sneak peek look into the new half-hour comedy, The Chair, which stars Sandra Oh as Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim, the new chair of the English department.

Created by Amanda Peet, Dr. Kim is the first woman to chair the department and is faced with a unique set of challenges as well as being one of the few staff members of color at the university. She must also navigate through the dizzying demands and high expectations of the failing department at the prestigious Pembroke University.

In the sneak peek, Oh arrives at the prestigious university and walks to her office, which proudly displays her placard: Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim, Chair, Department of English. She enters her old school office, set to operatic music, and finds a gift. She opens it to see a hilarious name display: F*cker in Charge of you F*cking F*cks. She sits comfortably in her chair as she takes it all in, but that is interrupted as the chair breaks, causing her to fall over.

Oh also serves as executive producer for the series alongside Peet, David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Bernie Caulfield and Daniel Gray Longino, who also serves as director for all six episodes. The cast also includes Jay Duplass as Professor Bill Dobson; Holland Taylor as Professor Joan Hambling; Bob Balaban as Professor Elliot Rentz; Nana Mensah as Professor Yaz McKay; David Morse as Dean Paul Larson; Everly Carganilla as Ju-Hee “Ju Ju” Kim; among others.

The Chair premiere on August 20 on Netflix.
