NOC Interview: Vincent D’Onofrio Discusses ‘The Unforgivable’

Vincent D’Onofrio plays John Ingram, a lawyer sympathetic to Ruth, in The Unforgivable. The film was released in theaters on November 24 and will begin streaming December 10 on Netflix.

Released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, Ruth Slater (Bullock) re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.

D’Onofrio can most recently be seen in Searchlight Pictures’ film, The Eyes of Tammy Faye. In 2019, the actor made his directorial debut with his feature film, The Kid. He also executive produced and portrayed Abbie Hoffman in Steal This Movie. Other film work includes The Magnificent Seven, In Dubious Battle, Jurassic World, Run All Night, The Judge, Full Metal Jacket, Mystic Pizza, Adventures in Babysitting, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, The Salton Sea, Imposter, Chelsea Walls, Happy Accidents, The Player, Dying Young, Ed Wood, Strange Days, Stuart Saves His Family, Men In Black, The Thirteenth Floor, Death Wish, El Camino Christmas, The Whole Wide World, which he produced and starred in, as well as JFK

On the television side, the actor is known for his role as Kingpin in Netflix’s popular Marvel series, Daredevil. He portrayed The Wizard in NBC’s Emerald City as well. D’Onofrio can also be seen in Ghost Wars, The Moth Effect, The Godfather of Harlem, Ratched, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Homicide: Life on the Street.
