Star Trek: Discovery has returned to our streaming screens for another spectacular season as the Discovery crew and the Federation of the future must deal with a galaxy-threatening anomaly. It’s unlike anything the Discovery crew has faced before, and resultingly Captain Burnham and her crew and loved ones are pushed to the brink in so many ways. What goes into making such a spectacular adventure that we watch every week?

We were fortunate enough to speak with Director and Executive Producer Olatunde Osunsanmi who has been with the show since the beginning, directing such episodes like “What’s Past is Prologue” and “That Hope is You” Parts 1 and 2. He told us what we might expect from Captain Burnham and her crew in this new season, how the gravitational anomaly will challenge them, how the themes of Discovery parallel our present day, what goes into making the show, and so much more.
