Hell’s Kitchen is open once again! And in the wake of the terrific Echo, it sounds like Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, is planning his run for mayor of New York City. And the one man who could stand in his way is the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen! Matt Murdock/Daredevil is returning folks! And today we got more details about the upcoming Marvel Studios television revival, Daredevil: Born Again!
I’m so incredibly hyped for this one. Ever since the man himself, Charlie Cox, walked into the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been dying to see him back in leading role status. And the hype train reached an all time high when a new revival was officially announced at San Diego Comic Con 2022. And Daredevil: Born Again is not only giving us Cox’s return to leading man status, but also reuniting him with the cast of the beloved Netflix series. This time, adding all of the characters we knew and loved from the show into the MCU. where they belong!
Today during Disney’s upfronts, Cox and Kingpin himself, Vincent D’Onofrio, took to the stage to show off a brand new logo for the series, and reveal the official release date for it: March 2025!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. That’s a long time from now. And that’s true. But that’s because Daredevil: Born Again went through a major retooling to ensure the series was a direct continuation of the Netflix story and characters we loved from 2015-2018. And if that’s not worth the wait, I don’t know what is!
Confirmed to return to the series alongside Cox and D’Onofrio are stars Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Jon Bernthal (RETURNING AS THE PUNISHER!!!!), and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. The series will also be picking up a few new faces in Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Genneya Walton. And keep in mind, Marvel holds the right to keep us surprised about cameos from our favorite Defenders, such as Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage. Not to mention the lovely Alaqua Cox as Echo. But time will tell what sort of wonderful surprises they have in store for us fans!
