We’re so close to Alien: Romulus, folks! The seventh installment in the legendary Alien Anthology is clawing its way to theaters faster than a xenomorph in a tunnel. As proof of this, 20th Century Studios has just debuted a final trailer for the highly anticipated nightmare!
Set about 20 years after the events of the first Alien film from 1979, Alien: Romulus follows a group of scavengers who manage to stumble on to the remains of an abandoned space station, where a few… ahem… surprises are in store for them. Some really terrifying ones…
But you don’t need me to tell you that. You can see it for yourself in the below trailer:
The trailer for the film shows how awesome the back-to-basics approach from director Fede Alvarez will be. It really sucks that it shows Navarro being one of the first casualties, but my hope is that a few of the other POCs make it out of this alive. The track record for this in horror movies is spotty at best!
That being said, it looks like a terrifying and awesome return to form for the franchise! Can’t wait for this to drop!
Alien: Romulus hits theaters August 16!
