This coming January, the producers of Barbarian will be introducing audiences everywhere to a new kind of “love” story (emphasis on “kind of”), with Companion.
The feature directorial debut of Drew Hancock stars Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Harvey Guillén, and Megan Suri. Let me tell you — y’all ain’t ready for this one!
I’m insanely excited for this! Hancock is most known for his work on shows like the underrated and excellent short lived sitcom Suburgatory. Now he’s teaming up with producer Zach Cregger, writer and director of Barbarian, to deliver a twisted and mysterious “love story” where nothing is what it seems. Sometimes, movies benefit better from the element of surprise.
So check out the trailer for Companion here, and get ready for something truly insane and special:
WB also launched a program for you to “find your Companion” by texting the number listed on their tweet here:
Companion hits theaters January 10, and stay tuned to The Nerds of Color for more coverage as we get closer to its official release!
