You cannot deny that few people have done as much for POC cinema as the collective talents of Director Ryan Coogler, screen legend Delroy Lindo, and incredible actors Omar Miller and Li Jun Li. Coogler has changed every genre he’s touched, from superhero movies to horror films, by adding deeper social meanings that honor Black and POC culture to all of them.
The collective and bold filmographies of Lindo, Miller, and Li — with such poignant films about race like Malcom X, Remember the Titans, and Babylon — have reshaped how POCs are depicted within cinema today. Now this team is doing it once again, alongside the absolutely terrific Michael B. Jordan, Hailey Steinfeld, and Wunmi Mosaku, with the release of Coogler’s latest film, Sinners.
Earlier this week we were able to share the amazing time we had with Jordan, Steinfeld, and Mosaku speaking with them about the film, covering topics ranging from music, horror, and cultural appropriation. And today, we couldn’t be more thrilled to present you with another fantastic conversation with Lindo, Miller, and Li.
We were able to discuss Lindo’s experiences working with legendary Black filmmakers like Spike Lee and now Coogler, as well as Li’s musical experience, and Miller’s dedication to the film through hours of makeup he endured to bring this horror classic to life! Take a look at what each of them had to say right here:

This truly is a phenomenal movie, and you definitely need to see it on the biggest screen possible because, for my money, I swear it’s the best movie I’ve seen this year so far! And I foresee it staying in my top 10 of 2025!
Sinners hits theaters tomorrow, April 18, 2025!
