We are soaring ever so close to the debut of How To Train Your Dragon! We have been fortunate all week to bring you interviews with stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, and Nick Frost. However, we’re not done yet! We’re proud to present to everyone our interviews with franchise mastermind, Dean DeBlois, and the Riders of Berk themselves, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Gabriel Howell, and Julian Dennison!
One of the best things DeBlois has done (apart from co-creating a movie series that’s full of heart and wonder) has been adapting his own source material by looking at the performances first, and matching those with the overarching traits defined by each character in his animated films. It’s why things worked out brilliantly with Thames and Parker. And rounding out the cast by doing justice to their respective characters, so too do James, Trevaldwyn, Howell, and Dennison.
The quad of actors is such a fun gang to speak with. And they play their parts to absolute perfection. It all makes sense given how meticulously protective DeBlois is of his original source material. He wouldn’t entrust this franchise to just any actors! And with this ragtag team of dragon riders running amok across Berk, you know this cast absolutely nailed it!
