Lobo on Lobo: An Interview with Jason Momoa of ‘Supergirl’

It has been a lifelong dream for Jason Momoa to play Lobo: The Main Man! Originally first brought on by Zack Snyder to perplexingly play Aquaman, once the DC Universe was completely reset by James Gunn and Peter Safran, Momoa was finally given the chance to step up as the role he was born to play! Now, with Lobo finally making his big screen debut in this summer’s Supergirl, we couldn’t resist paying homage to help the charismatic badass celebrate the role of a lifetime!

We were given the high honor of attending the press junket for Supergirl recently. It was an incredible experience speaking with Milly Alcock and Eve Ridley, which we brought to you all recently. However, the cherry on top was absolutely getting to chat with Momoa himself about his dream role as Lobo — while dressed as Lobo!

As not only a fan of Lobo’s, but also a charismatic actor who shares so many of the characteristics with the badass biker bounty hunter himself, it was a completely obvious win for Momoa to play this role, in a way that any true comic book fan or director should have seen from the very beginning. While it may have taken 13 years for this to finally take place, we couldn’t have been happier to finally discuss the character with Momoa, as well as his inputs into bringing him to life, and his experience with Lobo’s legendary Spacehog!

Check out what he had to say here:
