As you’re reading this, a bunch of the NOC crew is on their way to Anaheim to cover D23. So expect plenty of Disney news to blanket the site all next week — also be sure to follow us on Instagram and TikTok to keep up in real time. For now, we’re looking back at the week that was.
This weekend is all about HBO’s Lanterns debuting on Sunday — filling the prime time slot left behind by House of the Dragon, natch. Dominic had a chance to watch the series’ first seven episodes and offered his take on the show’s True Detective vibes.
With The End of Oak Street debuting in theaters today, Swara praised the Amblin-esque throwback from director David Robert Mitchell and producer JJ Abrams. Meanwhile, Mike got a chance to sit down and talk dinos with the filmmakers.
Swara and Mike also teamed up with Michael to discuss the pros and cons from the season finale of X-Men ’97 while Nikita spoke to the Newton Bros., the score composing duo behind the iconic X-Men music.
Speaking of interviews, our newest contributor Victoria spoke with Looney Tunes voice actor Eric Bauza about the up and down journey Coyote vs. Acme took to get (back) to the big screen.
Earlier in the week, Valerie reviewed the indie thriller Serena, Nikita spoke with filmmaker Brandon Broussard, and Edward checked out Shakespeare in the Park in Los Angeles.
