Disneyland Resort’s ‘Season of the Force’ Offerings Enhance the Star Wars Experience

The Force is calling. And with the Season of the Force celebration at Disneyland Resort upon us, guests can experience limited-time offerings, plus new experiences to continue their Star Wars story at Disneyland Resort. So, just before the festivities can start, Disney has revealed some of the newest enhancements, including a new nighttime experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, along with food, merchandise and more!

On select nights starting April 5 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you will be able to take in “Fire of the Rising Moons,” a nighttime experience that debuts a different view of the stunning Disneyland park fireworks display, with musical accompaniment. The skies over Batuu light up with bursts of color and imagination with the iconic music associated with adventures and tales across the galaxy.

The best part of “Fire of the Rising Moons” is that it is a nighttime spectacular that can be experienced from multiple areas in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including the Black Spire Spaceport, the TIE Echelon docking platform and the speeder garage. Your MagicBand+ will also add to the ceremony’s atmosphere with colorful lights and ambient vibrations.

Also beginning April 5, Star Tours — The Adventures Continue will feature new additions inspired by the Disney+ series Ahsoka, Andor, and The Mandalorian.

The high-speed Space Mountain overlay, Hyperspace Mountain, will return to Tomorrowland for a limited time through June 2. You’ll once again be able to race through the galaxy, encountering a Star Destroyer and dodging TIE fighters along the way.

It wouldn’t be much of a Season of the Force celebration without exclusive merchandise and tasty eats and drinks. So whether guests follow the path of the Jedi or have chosen the Dark Side, their Season of the Force memories will be unforgettable.

Some of the returning foods include the Toydaria Swirl at the Milk Stand, while Fried Chicken Baos from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Novelty food items like the novelties like the brand-new Jabba the Hutt Bucket also await guests.

At Tomorrowland’s Galactic Grill, guests can showdown on Bantha Burgers or Chorizo Loaded Fries for those who want a savory option. If guests are in the mood for something sweet, the Wookiee Parfait will satifisy those cravings. And to drink, there’s the Watermelon Slush with Death Star Glow Cube or Granny Smith Apple Slush with Millennium Falcon Glow Cube.

Over at Kat’s Saka Kettle, there’s a new item called the Celto Slush, which is plant-based pandan-flavored horchata topped with cold brew. And at the Milk Stand, guests can have the Toydaria Swirl, which is green Milk with chili seasoning and mango jellies.

If you have reservations at Oga’s Cantina, you might want to try their Fiery Mustafarian, which is a El Mayor Añejo Tequila, Aperol Aperitivo Liqueur, peach purée, peach syrup, and lime juice served with a dropper of spicy lava syrup.

For something a little more sophisticated, there’s the Silver Sea Martini, which is a blend of Hendrick’s Gin, Minute Maid Lemonade, ginger syrup, honey, and mint syrup topped with a shimmery butterfly pea flower tea. And there’s plenty more to drink for those who want a little more to their beverage then something fizzy.

Other Disneyland Resort locations celebrating the Season of the Force include, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Downtown Disney District.

Also, Disneyland Resort hosts Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite events on select evenings April 16 through May 9 at Disneyland park. Guests can get ready for a galactic adventure of flavor with plenty of specialty items from Grogu Candies at Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen to Crab Fritters at Royal Street Veranda. And what better way to complete the night than with the Cinnamon Roll Sundae from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor – and if guests look carefully, they may be able to see that their sundae resembles a certain royalty.

There will also be new merchandise at new merchandise coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Star Trader in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park, plus Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney District.

And if guests can’t make the Season of the Force, then Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is available all year around, where they can jump into hyperspace on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction. Or they can escape The First Order on the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction.

Guests can also use their MagicBand and DisneyPlay app MagicBand+ to track down virtual bounties in the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters quest. Vibrations and lights from their band help guide them to their bounty, and the augmented reality thermal viewer in the Play Disney Parks app reveals who is hiding in the shadows.

With the help of some Gatherers, aspiring Jedi and Sith can complete their training by forging their own lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop. And for those who have an affinity for droids like the BB-series, C-series, or R-series, they can assemble their very own using a stockpile of parts, chips and more over at the Droid Depot. Purchase is required for both experiences, and advanced reservations are highly encouraged.
