Write for the NOC
We are looking for writers with a different perspective on pop culture — comics, movie, television, and more!
While positions are volunteer-only, as a writer for The Nerds of Color, you will have opportunities to review product samples, receive early access to events, attend premieres, visit sets, press junkets, and other cool perks. (We’re especially interested in writers based in Los Angeles in New York).
Here are a few of the kinds of writers we’re looking for:
- Opinion Writer
- News Reporter
- Product Reviewer
- Podcast Co-Host/Producer

Lalo Alcaraz is the the nation’s top cartoonist of color
his comic strip La Cucaracha has been running for 15 – 20 years

and it’s hilarious !! he is also now also working on a new cartoon called Bordertown which will start airing on Fox later this year (or next year?) – note: however I don’t think he created the show – he’s just a consultant / writer on it – look it up
