Sofia Carson stars as Nora Parisi in Carry-On. The thrilling new action movie is now streaming on Netflix!

A young TSA agent fights to outsmart a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into letting a dangerous package slip onto a Christmas Eve flight.
“My most important duty with Nora, as a female actor playing a female lead in an action movie, was that I never wanted her to feel like a damsel in distress, which I think we accomplished in this film and that makes me really proud,” the actress expressed. “Going into the action sequence, my only note to the team was that she had to be able to save herself in that moment. I didn’t want her to be at the mercy of any man and everybody was on board with that, and we were able to choreograph it in that way. So that was really exciting to get into but that moment is so terrifying, intense, thrilling, and terrifying! But the action sequences were really cool to shoot because it was all physical, practical sets, so the car sequence was real. There were cars chasing me at high speeds and all of that makes everything just so much more visceral.”

We talked about the ending, the importance of her character not being seen as a damsel in distress, filming her big action sequence, and her conversations with Taron Egerton about Nora and Ethan’s relationship.
