Disney and Pixar Announce ‘Coco 2’ is in Development

Coco 2 is officially confirmed. The animated musical that celebrated the Day of the Dead won two Academy Awards for best animated feature and best original song (“Remember Me”) is in the early stages of development. Disney CEO Bob Iger made the reveal during an investment meeting with shareholders. He also announced that the film reunites Coco director Lee Unkrich and Co-Director Adrian Molina, and they will be joined by Oscar-winning producer Mark Nielsen (Toy Story 4, Inside Out 2).

Disneyland Resort’s Halloween Time is a Grim Grinning Good Time

Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure Park have officially kicked off their Halloween celebrations. With both parks celebrating the spooky season, it means double the fun for guests. The resort-wide celebrations have plenty to offer, including the much-anticipated return of the Haunted Mansion Holiday with its all-new eerily delightful gingerbread house and the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland to Have Spooky Fun During the Halloween Season

Things are about to get spooky at the Disneyland Resort and Disneyland California Adventure. The enhancement theme has been hard at work decorating the park with pumpkins and other fall colors. And guests will have plenty of fun celebrating the howl-day with Disney characters and sections all decked out for some spellbinding thrills and eerie chills.

Right Here, Right ‘Bao’

Oakland and the surrounding East Bay Area is a welcoming, casual town. The standard uniform of jeans and a hoodie is a ticket to pretty much anywhere: a Warriors game, a UC Berkeley lecture hall (as a student or even as the professor), a Michelin-star restaurant, R&B paint night at the Complex. The few exceptions are three-fold: the Piedmont School District, an available slice of sweet potato pie at Lois the Pie Queen after 10:00 AM, and Pixar Animation Studios.

I have lived in the East Bay for more than twelve years, and I have never gotten closer than peering through the iron gates while driving past to get my son to badminton practice. Until now.

To celebrate the upcoming in-home release of Bao and Incredibles 2, Pixar opened their gates to The Nerds of Color as well as other media outlets for dinner and interview opportunities with their creators.
