The phenomenon known as 3 Body Problem is sweeping Netflix! And we were lucky enough to recently chat with some of the cast from this remarkable show. We previously debuted our interview with the delightful Jess Hong. And today, we’d like to share our interview with two of the show’s brilliant actresses: Rosalind Chao and Zine Tseng!

Together, Tseng and Chao have crafted one of the most complex characters on the show, Ye Wenjie. Those who have seen the show will know that the character’s decisions are what set the entire course of the series into motion. But more than that, those decisions are influenced by the pain and challenges the character has experienced living through one of the most difficult events in human history.

Tseng and Chao beautifully handle the pathos and humanity of the character with a pair of wonderful performances. Tseng plays the younger version of Ye Wenjie, while Chao tackles the character in present day. Together, they were able to talk to us about what it took to craft the character, their approaches, and whether or not they met to compare notes during production.
