The Sandman Universe is expanding! Neil Gaiman’s dark, fanciful creations are coming to life in ways we never could have imagined, thanks to Netflix. And spinning off from the popular series, The Sandman is a wondrous, quirky new supernatural adventure series, Dead Boy Detectives! We were able to speak with star Yuyu Kitamura recently about the upcoming series!
Kitamura stars as the charming Nico, the best friend of Kassius Nelson’s clairvoyant sleuth, Crystal. Together they help living impaired teenagers Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland — aka the Dead Boy Detectives — solve supernatural cases, and help them stay one step ahead of Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste reprising her role from The Sandman).
