To say Squid Game was a surprise hit would be the biggest understatement of all time. This was a show that took the world by storm and instantly became one of the biggest icons in streaming. Now, the newest chapter has been announced!
Squid Game Season 2 is officially coming December 26, 2024! To celebrate Netflix released the first official image from the upcoming show, which you can view right here!
In addition to the first official image and the official release date for Season 2, show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has released a letter exclaiming his excitement for the latest season:
However, if you read the letter it also mentions that Season 3 is also coming. But it will be the final chapter of this story and that will be coming next year. That said, let’s focus on Season 2!
It’s going to be a long wait for December folks! But it’ll definitely be worth it!
Once again, Squid Game Season 2 is hitting Netflix December 26!
This is lovely and surprising news. I recall reading an online article (sorry, I do not recall the details/Website, offhand), in which the Hwang Dong-hyuk stated that he was OK with there only being one season. A second AND third season of “Squid Game” sounds amazing.
I shall need to make friends with people who have Netflix. Their greedflation was more than I could continue tolerating.
