Disneyland’s Kids Rule The Summer Kicks Off

School’s out, summer is here, and Disneyland is handing the magic over to its youngest guests with the “Kids Rule the Summer” celebration, a season of family-friendly experiences, favorite attractions, and memory-making moments across the resort.

As families look for ways to make the most of summer, Disneyland Resort is rolling out a seasonal lineup filled with new entertainment, returning favorites, limited-time offerings, and special savings designed with kids and families in mind.

One of the biggest additions arrives at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where a brand-new mission debuts on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run beginning May 22, 2026. The update celebrates the release of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and features expanded gameplay, possible adventures to three new destinations across the galaxy, and appearances by the Mandalorian and Grogu.

Batuu is also expanding its sense of history. New for 2026, guests can encounter iconic characters from multiple eras of the franchise, including Darth Vader, Imperial Stormtroopers, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and more. Music from legendary composer John Williams will also be heard throughout the land, bringing familiar themes from the first six films into the immersive world of Galaxy’s Edge.

Guests can also catch Grogu in “The Curious Child,” a limited-time experience playing after “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” where the beloved character tests his power to recall memories from his adventures with The Mandalorian. The fan-favorite BDX droids will also return to Disneyland Park on May 22, making appearances in a new way at Black Spire Station.

“Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” celebrates the heart and humor of the critically acclaimed animated series “Bluey” in the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland park in Anaheim, Calif., beginning March 22, 2026. Bluey and Bingo appear on stage at set times throughout the day, joining a troupe of comedic performers and musicians to bring to life the popular games, beloved music and dances with cheeky moves from the series. Extra laughs, playful surprises, and a little bit of delightful chaos are added when Bluey and Bingo are joined on stage by characters from the show like Chattermax, Unicorse, and a troupe of Grannies. Over at Fantasyland Theatre, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” continues bringing the heart and humor of the beloved animated series to life. Guests young and old can join Bluey and Bingo for a playful celebration inspired by the show, with new merchandise also arriving in the parks, including apparel, headwear, drinkware, and more.

The summer lineup continues at Disney California Adventure with Soarin’ Across America, a new limited-time version of the attraction beginning July 2, 2026. The experience takes guests on an airborne journey across some of the country’s most picturesque sights and landscapes.

This summer also marks the final stretch of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which continues through August 9, 2026. Guests still have time to enjoy the limited-time décor, entertainment, specialty food, and beverage offerings tied to the milestone celebration.

Families can also keep the energy going with the Disney Friends Dance Party at Disney California Adventure Park, where music and surprise appearances from Disney characters turn the Disney Theater into a celebration. At Disneyland Park, “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast” returns to Tomorrowland Terrace, giving guests another way to dance, play, and enjoy a galactic summer party.

To help families make the most of the season, Disneyland Resort is also offering summertime savings. The Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer includes tickets as low as $50 per child, ages 3 through 9, with a 1-Day Park Hopper ticket for visits from May 22 through September 7, 2026. Guests looking to extend their stay can also save up to 15% on select Sunday through Thursday night stays at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort through September 7.

With new Star Wars experiences, Bluey’s park debut, a fresh Soarin’ adventure, dance parties, character moments, and the final weeks of the 70th Celebration, Disneyland Resort is giving families plenty of reasons to let kids rule the summer.
