Mike Flanagan’s name might sound too new to add to the list of legendary horror writers. He’s been developing some truly horrific ideas for over two decades now, finding success in suspenseful thrillers like Hush and Oculus, or in multi-layered horror dramas like The Haunting Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, or Midnight Mass. Yet there are undoubtedly some who would still hesitate to put his name next to the likes of Stephen King, Bram Stoker, or Mary Shelley.

NOC Interview: Emily Hampshire Discusses Her New Series, ‘Chapelwaite’

Emily Hampshire stars as Rebecca in EPIX’s new series, Chapelwaite. Based on the short story Jerusalem’s Lot by Stephen King, Chapelwaite is a 10-episode drama and will premiere on Sunday, August 22. This is the first series from EPIX Studios and is a terrifying re-imagining of classic gothic horror, honoring the grand literary traditions of Poe, Stoker and Lovecraft – all filtered through the modern lens of horror master Stephen King.
