It’s 007 week here at The Nerds of Color, folks! I’ve already raved about the film in our NOC Review last week. But to countdown to the release of Daniel Craig’s triumphant finale as Bond, James Bond, we are releasing one interview a day with the folks who brought us the stunning conclusion to the the Craig era of 007!
Today, we’re talking to the film’s amazing director Cary Fukanaga (True Detective), only the second of two AAPI directors to ever take over the reins of directing a Bond film (the first being Lee Tamahori who did the final Brosnan film, Die Another Day back in 2002)! Funkanaga talks about what the future may look like for POC directors for the 007 franchise, as well as what it was like to put his stamp on it! Have a look at what he had to say here:
Stay tuned this week for more interviews coming from the cast of No Time to Die!
Then catch No Time to Die in theaters this Friday, October 8, 2021!
